ATN Distribution in Argentina for the First Quarter of 2026

In the analysis of the first two months of 2026, the distribution of ATN accumulated was $27 billion out of a fund raised of $177.117 billion. This represents a distribution of 15.2%, leaving an unexecuted balance of $150.117 billion at the end of February. The total ATN fund in February reached $85.047 billion, marking an execution of 23.5%. This level of distribution was slightly lower than the 25.7% recorded in February of the previous year. In the last week of February and in parallel with key votes in the national government, six provinces received National Treasury Contributions (ATN) for $20 billion. As had been specified by the Argentine News Agency, until February 22, the Casa Rosada had not sent a single peso of ATN to the provinces that month. A report by the Chaco consultancy Politikón revealed that February ended with ATN transfers to six provinces for $20 billion: Misiones, Salta, and Santa Cruz each captured $4 billion; Corrientes and Jujuy received $3 billion each; and Neuquén received $2 billion. Most of them had been visited by the Minister of the Interior, Diego Santilli, and agreements were reached that were later reflected at the time of the votes. These transfers generated positive real variations of over 1,000% in provinces such as Salta and Santa Cruz due to the low annual comparison base. Corrientes remains the main beneficiary of the two-month period with $6 billion captured.
